The Naked Basics Palette
As someone who will never venture beyond a simple winged liner and mascara look as far as the eyes are concerned, I decided that I needed to take a dip into the world of eyeshadows, a whole area of makeup that I've hardly explored. Coming to the conclusion that shimmery eyeshadows look awful on me, I finally settled on the Naked Basics palette. Not only would the shadows create a subtle but beautiful look on the lids, but the palette is perfect for travelling as the shades are multi purpose. The lightest, and only shimmer shade 'Venus' as a highlight, either the taupe 'Naked 2' or the mid brown 'Faint' as a brow colour and the jet black 'Crave' as a liner. The yellow and pink toned skin-like shades could even be used as colour correctors to correct areas of red-ness or blue-ness, or to set concealer. Combined with the beautifully velvety texture of the shadows, high pigmentation and sleek, compact packaging, I'd recommend this palette to anyone with a fairer complexion, whether an addition to your existing Naked palette family or if you're just starting out with eyeshadows.

Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers in Green Tea
This is the first pair of tweezers I've been excited about. Yes, excited. I'd never believed the fuss around these- tweezers are tweezers, right? But after trying my friend's for the first time, I was amazed at how well they grip and pull out even the tiniest of hairs, and ordered a pair as soon as I got home. At first regretting not investing in the full sized pair, I soon found the size no problem (and they look quite cute, too, they even come with a plastic little tube to hold them in) and actually weirdly enjoy doing my eyebrows.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - 50ml
I finally jumped onto the bandwagon and decided to purchase this- I haven't used it enough to comment on it's effects but it does smell amazing! I ordered directly from the Origins website and would highly recommend it, free and fast delivery and free samples included in every order!

Essie Nail Lacquer in 'Cocktail Bling'
The usual, smooth formula and easy to use brush of Essie polishes in a muted blue/grey colour. Perfect for all year round- what's not to like?

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107
I've been meaning to buy this since it first came out but couldn't justify buying yet another wintery burgundy/berry colour to add to my collection. However it's actually less dark than I thought, more of a very slightly deep pink, and equally as wearable in the summer.

L'Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Lip Colour in 'Red Infallible'
In theory, this shouldn't work.. but it does. An admittedly sticky, vivid red liquid lipstick that dries to a matte finish at one end and a hydrating, matte, clear balm at the other which takes away any stickiness and supposedly 'seals' the colour in. And it really does stay! Not quite 24 hours, but it stays.
Note- don't spend ages in agony trying to unscrew the cap to the balm end like I did, it's not a screw top..

L'Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim - Black
Not much to say on this one- a very intense black with a very fine tipped nib similar to the Topshop Magic Liner- I've found it to be quite firm and tug a little, but hopefuly in time I'll get used to applying it.
